We're attempting to settle in.
We've got internet, but no telephone.
Some bureaucracy has been dealt with - I boggled at inaccessibility of municipal building for wheelchair users - with a pram it was bad enough and only doable because we were two.
Some more bureaucracy needs to be addressed.
Still unpacking boxes.
Plans for renovations have been changed yet again - no knocking down of walls and instead a smaller kitchen which is difficult to accept for the cook.
We watched Lost. Alt!Locke and Not!Locke are the best. Lighthouses with mirrors are mysterious.

Next time proper sentences if at all possible.

I watched two finales in the past seven days, the penultimate season of Lost and the official season finale of Dollhouse.

Dollhouse is, in television speak, 'on the bubble' and it's doubtful that we'll get to see a second season, but at least there's the mysterious Epitaph One to look forward to. Lost will return to be concluded in May 2010.

Thoughts and spoilers on Dollhouse: )

I've got five words to write about thanks to [livejournal.com profile] frenchani, so here goes:

Food, singers, cocktail, weddings, lost )

If you want words, too, let me know in the comments.

I've accomplished quite a lot this weekend: finished marking one pile of Year 8 tests and am now drawing lots of red doodles on the Year 12 essays. I've done five and now I've earned myself a break.

The school drama has died down a bit and on Friday we entertained my brother who came up for a haircut, food and some cd-burning. I've got a very long weekend coming up and as I've got some of the marking out of the way, I'm wondering what to do with my time. Any suggestions?

The television I watched this week has been fairly mediocre - Lost and Veronica Mars were so-so and the plot twists in 24 were far too obvious and no, there wasn't anything particularly rant-worthy.

There was some snow, but it disappeared after a couple of hours.

Proof )

Amuse me with a witty comment.

Edited to add a picture.

Last night I was kept half-awake by what sounded like the monster from Lost: rattling chains or possibly a ladder being extended and a moaning sound that was a cross between a dog in pain and a mooing cow. I believe the noise came from one of the rather dodgy car-repair workshops in the make-shift garages next door.
