At first, I thought this episode was just surface and plot and nothing else, but talking it through with my hairdresser while getting my roots done, we still found a couple of things we liked.

But let's start with the not-so-good:

Sorry, I do not really care about Jack and Kate and Sawyer and Juliet in the epic love quadrangle of doom. (Yes, I guess that it should be square but quadrangle is closer to triangle and that's how I want to say it.) What was that with Juliet leaving the boys alone to do their alpha-male posturing when Jack came to visit James? Though I must confess that just a little bit I enjoy that Sawyer has the upper hand right now.

So, what did I like?

Sun hitting Ben over the head with the paddle and quietly stating: "I lied". (Much better than Juliet doing the wifely thing of disappearing while the menfolk talk.)

My hairdresser reminded me that the Others had been building that runway back in season 2 or 3. Intriguing. Did Ben know beforehand that a plane would come?

Oh, and co-pilot suffered Wash's fate. Poor guy.

Teenage Ben! Talking to Said and giving him food. Reminds me a little of how it once was the other way round, with Ben aka Henry Gale imprisoned.. And just like Ben, Said is pretending to be someone else.

Sun and Christian Shepard. She's going on a journey, I think.

It was Wash's fate! It did seem familiar but I couldn't put my finger on why.

I forgot about the runway. I love Lost but there are so many details and tibits to keep track of, it's quite challenging to stay on top of things. And I also completely missed this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uQHYXon-RaI

I'm looking forward to Ben waking up from being knocked out, surely his memories will have changed, like Desmond's did, and then he'll realize that some of the Losties are stuck in the 70ies and will hopefully have something to do about it.

Hmm, I'm amazed that anyone spotted it/her!

Interesting speculation about Ben...

I was rather not impressed by the episode. I much prefer the previous one.

Like you I couldn't care less for the quadrangle and the reunion, although "I miss you too, Hugo" put a big smile on my face. And his asking about Locke...I really like Soft Sawyer.

I just can't understand the logics of Sun not ending up at the same time with Jack, Kate, Hugo and Sayid. Ben and Frank I can understand, but Sun? Unless it's somehow connected to her getting pregnant on the island and giving birth to her daughter off the island...

Sun hitting Ben was quite telegraphed, yet in character. Also was phoned the scene revealing who the teenage boy delivering the food was. I really hate it when they do those camera clichés of pseudo-suspense. Same with Christian showing himself in the ghosty place. *rolls eyes*

Also, are we supposed to believe that none of our lost heroes had noticed young Ben until now? If he'd just arrived in the sub with the new recruits, Juliet should have reacted when seeing the list of names. And if Roger and Ben Linus were already there living in Dharma village, the lack of mentioning them in the previous episode sounds really weird. I mean it's Ben Linus, it should be a BIG DEAL for Swayer, Juliet, Jin and Miles!

As for Amy's baby, I wasn't too far from the mark when I thought it might be Juliet's lover. He was indeed sent sent undercover by Ben, it was justt he other one, Ethan. Goodspeed, Goodwin...both dead for good actually!

I like Sayid as a hostile in jail though. It fits in his journey.

I wonder what happened to Daniel Faraday.

And we still don't know where the other Oceanic passengers are? Bernard and Rose? Vincent the dog?

I'm still underwhelmed by it all - it was mostly filler and not even lots of set-up.

Yeah, I don't think that there was a single viewer who didn't guess that the teenage boy with glasses was Ben Linus - as to why we hadn't heard of 1977-Ben before, I hope that the writers address this.

I'm sharing your questions and I hope for answers.

I talked with my hairdresser about why Sun isn't with the others in 1977. My answers was: storytelling reasons - I just hope it's not just that!
