I've accomplished quite a lot this weekend: finished marking one pile of Year 8 tests and am now drawing lots of red doodles on the Year 12 essays. I've done five and now I've earned myself a break.

The school drama has died down a bit and on Friday we entertained my brother who came up for a haircut, food and some cd-burning. I've got a very long weekend coming up and as I've got some of the marking out of the way, I'm wondering what to do with my time. Any suggestions?

The television I watched this week has been fairly mediocre - Lost and Veronica Mars were so-so and the plot twists in 24 were far too obvious and no, there wasn't anything particularly rant-worthy.

There was some snow, but it disappeared after a couple of hours.

Amuse me with a witty comment.

Edited to add a picture.

So-so...I think you're being rather nice.

What about going to the cinema? Have you seen "Das Leben der Anderen" ? I've been told it's a very good movie and plan to see it tomorrow.

The cinema is definitely on my list - planning to watch Pan's Labyrinth - probably in a dubbed version - and Babel with subtitles. I missed "Das Leben der Anderen", though I suspect it will show up in cinemas again closer to the Oscars.

I want your long weekend. :-(

Just one more week and then I've got a weekend that'll last till the next one -- or: a week's worth of Carnival break.

What can you do with your time? I made muffins. Very nice ones. You could try that?

The long weekend is my Carnival break: It starts on Thursday afternoon and lasts until (and including) Tuesday.

Hmmm. Muffins. Our oven doesn't work properly, but there's always my old and trusted microwave-oven combination that is good for muffins but not much else. Cakes never come out right in that thing.

Yay for Carnival break! I thought you were having a long weekend tomorrow and the day after or something...

I think my proof of snow looked better. :-p

Oh, I absolutely loved the snowpersons. Sadly, I didn't see any around here.

Now why do you have to go and be so politicaly correct? :-p

Those were definitely a couple of old men btw.

Heeee, I got the response I wanted! I saw snowperson on someone's livejournal this week and was amused by it, so I just had to use this really rather ridiculous word.
