Lost thoughts.

Is it just me or is it pretty obvious that Sayid didn't kill Desmond? What with not showing the body and the oh so typical: "You can take a look at him if you want to." (These kinds of statements raise lots of red flags for me when uttered by a pupil.... It almost always means that they are lying about something.)
Sun and Jin together again! Quite a sight, those two, cuddling and kissing, amid the chaos and confusion on the beach. Sawyer outconned yet again. As an aside, CopSawyer and FugitiveKate were cute.
And happiness for Sun and Jin in the AlternaVerse - though will it last?
What will happen when Desmond's plan succeeds and they all remember what happened on the island? And what exactly will they remember? I'm slightly confused as to when the timelines separated. When Juliet triggered the bomb? And while his methods of providing near-death experiences seem a bit harsh, I suppose he believes or knows that his subjects won't actually die.
So, in both timelines Jack finally finds out that Claire is his half-sister. CrazyClaire though gets separated from him again. She seems to be getting better, too.
I must confess I'm pretty lost on what it all means. Do we actually know what they're candidates for? Are we only assuming that one of them will replace Jacob?
I'm just along for the ride.
