Road trip IV: Cityscapes

Is this collection of short posts terribly annoying? Just say, no, not at all.
Brussels - like so many European cities - mixes the traditional with the modern a lot. The 1960s and 1970s city planning didn't do any favours to any European city. It was all about accomodating automobile traffic and erecting blocks of concrete. Still, Brussels has got lots of charming streets and would have offered pretty views across its several hills if the sky hadn't been quite as grey. Here's some beauty I found in unexpected places and angles:

Date: 2007-06-04 06:39 pm (UTC)And I can't recall where the hell you took that picture. I do recall you taking it, but where??? (This isn't uncommon for me, btw. The city looks so different in pictures, because suddenly you see it the way someone else was looking at it.)

There is the white and yellow church (?) building in the fence picture and then we walked around the block to the front of it and crossed the little square and then walked up the hill towards the higher parts of the city. The picture was taken at the bottom of this hill. The mirror building was on our left and the reflected building on the right hand side of that street. I think. Does that help?
