Road trip IV: Cityscapes

Is this collection of short posts terribly annoying? Just say, no, not at all.

Brussels - like so many European cities - mixes the traditional with the modern a lot. The 1960s and 1970s city planning didn't do any favours to any European city. It was all about accomodating automobile traffic and erecting blocks of concrete. Still, Brussels has got lots of charming streets and would have offered pretty views across its several hills if the sky hadn't been quite as grey. Here's some beauty I found in unexpected places and angles:

I like the installments. I'm actualy sitting behind the computer hitting refresh to see if you've posted the next one already.

And I can't recall where the hell you took that picture. I do recall you taking it, but where??? (This isn't uncommon for me, btw. The city looks so different in pictures, because suddenly you see it the way someone else was looking at it.)

Let me see if I can explain where I took that picture. There is the white and yellow church (?) building in the fence picture and then we walked around the block to the front of it and crossed the little square and then walked up the hill towards the higher parts of the city. The picture was taken at the bottom of this hill. The mirror building was on our left and the reflected building on the right hand side of that street. I think. Does that help?

Yees it does, cos after I recalled around it was taken. It isn't an area where I come lots of the time, so I don't know how it looks at the top of my head.

Heee, it's actually above the top of your head! I managed to get your head into the frame, so I cropped it out.

I like that.

I like that tree! It looks pretty against that building on the left.
