Need to vent!

Some nitwit stole the MOT/exhaust check sticker that is on my car's license plate. Now my car is only semi-legal - I've got the written statement for the exhaust check but I need the sticker.
So I had to go to the police to report the sticker stolen (I need to do that or I can't have the sticker replaced). The police man was nice enough but took ages to take everything down. Then I went groceries shopping which had been my intention all along. When I came back home I realized my exhaust check statement was missing - of course, the nice police man had forgotten to hand it back to me. In the meantime, he had called me to tell me I could collect it at the station. Which I did.
It's not really a big deal, just an inconvenience, but I'm still angry.
Now I'm hungry and have to do some prep for tomorrow.
