I'm very glad we didn't end up in Portimão - while the beach itself is nice enough just behind the promenade there is a concrete jungle made up of tower blocks full of apartments and double lane roads not to mention the extremely tacky tourist traps full of not really cheap beachwear and tasteless souvenirs.

There was this though, a stencil sundial on a white wall:

Thanks for the birthday wishes honey. I seem to have had one hell of a bad birthday about which I'll talk later. I might celebrate it a couple of days later than usual, just to have some kind of birthday, because yesterday was just a crap non-birthday-day.
