Today, I've been going through all the paper that has accumulated in the past months. There is a huge bag full that can go into the big recycling bin across the street. Worksheets have been put into ring-binders and filed away for further use. There are still several piles on the floor to be sorted and organized. I think by now I've used up my own personal forest with all the photocopies I have to make.
And because it's the holidays and spring time, we decided to get into shape a bit. We're rather sports-shy, but we decided on table tennis as a fun activity ages ago and have been playing that for several years - not very regularly - at an outdoor table. It was in a nice fairly secluded spot (no wind issues) on what could be described as a council estate. Now they're doing that up and the first thing they did was to remove our table. We discovered on Sunday and there are no real alternatives around. So, that leaves running in the park. Which is boring. And unlike table tennis does nothing for your hand-eye coordination or your upper body. But we've been good the past two days and we're already making progress. Starting slow and aiming low helps!
Now, I'm going to tag my park pictures with park. That should tell you why filing all my teaching material always takes so long. Apart from the fact that I'm a hoarder and don't like throwing away stuff that I might be able to use again, I'm also slightly obsessed about labelling and organizing my binders and folders.

Date: 2007-04-04 09:23 am (UTC)The problem though: I like it but I've always been crap at it. Once I get started I'm fine, but I don't do my filing regularly so when I get around to it, there's tons of stuff to sort through!

Date: 2007-04-04 09:26 am (UTC)I don't do the colour-coding as that would require too much preparation.
I like your definition of junk. It's my excuse for not throwing away things...
