I am only following the instructions:

Ask me for a letter and I'll give you one. Then you can fill out these questions on your own blog.

I was given the letter S by [livejournal.com profile] frenchani - let's see how challenging this is going to be.

Something you hate:

Hate might be too strong a word, but snobbery is something I dislike, but every so often I find myself falling into that trap, looking down at people for having the wrong taste, for listening to crappy music, for saying ignorant things.
Suffering is the much more obvious answer - there is nothing noble about it.

Something you love:

I love the sea, the sound of the waves, the taste of the salt & the smell.

Somewhere I've been:

Is saying the South Island of NZ cheating? I don't think so.

Somewhere I'd like to go:

I'll go with Siena and because Italy is one of those blank spaces on my map I'll throw in Sicily, too.

Someone I know:

I once taught a class in which half the girls' names started with S and of those about two-thirds had a name ending in a, so this tells you that coming up with a name is not difficult - which makes it hard to remember the right name for each person!
So, that's why I am saying Susanna because I mixed up name and face the other day and it was very embarrassing, but now I definitely who she is!

A Film I Like:

That's easy! Serenity has to be my answer.

A Book I Like:

Oooh. I am bad with titles. Fairy tales beginning with S are easy - Snow White, and Sterntaler come to mind right away. There are a couple of Rebus novels Set in Darkness, and Standing in Another Man's Grave and Saints of the Shadow Bible which are all books that I like.
I'll go with them, then, and probably do lots of face-palming because I didn't think of all the obvious titles beginning with S.
