Yes, I sometimes photograph food.

Usually badly.

I had lots of great food in Portugal. Fish as you would expect - for example a seabrass with a coriander sauce which was to die for (at this place) - and also grilled meat. They take their barbecue seriously, the Portuguese.

I didn't expect to get really great pizza:

I'd count this among the best I ever had.

Not that I'm a pizza expert, but I know what I like and the crust was pretty much perfect.

Then there was this:

Steak on a hot stone. It's the signature dish (excuse the pretentious word) of the small restaurant/bar next to the campsite in Lagos. They serve pretty basic stuff, nothing fancy, and they get invaded regularly by groups of people who have heard about the legendary steak on the hot stone.
It's a great place to people-watch, because it not only caters to the tourist groups but it is also the place the locals go to play cards, have a beer and discuss the day's gossip. We discovered it on our last trip to Portugal and basically tried nearly everything on the menu - they do have some stuff that is a bit of a letdown, but most of their food is good.

Then there was The Garden which is not only the best place to chill out but where they have very tasty burgers:

Back home there was cake..

because it was someone's birthday:

So what's been your favourite foodie moment in the last months?
