The kid on holiday.
May. 17th, 2013 08:56 pmI already put in some pictures of the kid - and I can't seem to help myself and show you more.
He was fascinated by the street performers in Palma. There were 'robots without heads' and the best thing ever was the guy who had dressed up as a vaguely Greco-Roman statue holding a lyre. If you liked him, you could throw a coin into the basin of a fountain that featured a fountain-head. I'm not usually a fan of this type of street performance but this was quite the elaborate set-up. Anyway, kid happened to have some spare change, so we told him to walk up and throw the coin into the fountain. Guy started playing on his lyre and a little water spouted from the fountain-head. Kid was in awe.
(And we don't have a picture, because it happened so fast.)
On Plaça Major there was a little a little booth that looked interesting:

The tiger started speaking to him when he investigated further:

It was good that it was a multilingual tiger who realized pretty quickly that this kid spoke German.
The kid had more spare change (he had asked for more after the statue) and when he put it into the bowl, he even got a sweet! He still talks about this.

Holidays are great because you can look through telescopes:

He doesn't know yet that you see more if you put money in them....
There was a day of playing at the beach:

There were new playgrounds:

And like a true tourist, he took some pictures:

This, for example:

And here's a self-portrait in shadow:
