Capturing December: Day 18 &19

Yesterday was busy - after school we picked up kid from kindergarten, went to school bazaar for a good cause, shopped around for a Christmas tree, found one after much searching, took it home, made a lentil salad (tastes much better than it sounds) which I then took to school Christmas party from which I returned a little after ten.

Hence I didn't post the picture that I took of stockings in big garden centre/nursery where we got the tree and where the Christmas decorations were already half-price.

*takes a deep breath*





By the way, the tree is up, but not decorated yet - I want the branches to settle a little first and frankly, I am too exhausted today. Traditionally I'm from a family that waits until the morning of Heiligabend or Christmas Eve and then the whole family decorates the tree together, but this year we're going to have it all pretty early.



The candy cane picture I took sometime last week, because there isn't much around - it seems to me a very American tradition.
