sister_luckI can report that I still know how to fix a puncture in a bicycle, something that was taught to me by my dad ages ago. Today I had the opportunity - for the first time in like forever - to practise this skill.
I'd discovered a completely flat tire this morning and a pink thumb tack stuck in the tire casing.
Turns out the kids in the corner shop had been playing with a bunch of thumb tacks and left them in the yard right in the path of my bicycle. Should have gotten the thumb tack resistant tires...
Grrrrrr.
I had to take the car to school. We still have to re-assemble the bike tonight.
Other things are fixed less easily, but if you don't show up to the meeting to discuss the incident you can't accuse us of not trying to mediate.
