Fairy tale theme park.

So, you saw the metal cake in an earlier post? It's part of the cast iron bannister for the stairs you walk up towards the Deutscher Märchenwald and it's advertising for the restaurant.
The Fairytale Forest is a weird and wonderful theme park going back 80 years.
Walk up the stairs and step into a different world:

(Notice the sign helping you to find the nearest convenience, but more on that later...)
There's music, too, to invite you in.

I must confess that I find this guy a little scary.
Some of the fairy tales:


Most huts have a little button for you to press and then a voice reads out the story to you. There is music, too.

You can interact with the displays, too. Guess what you're supposed to shout here:



There are animals, too:



There are some great details, but they're hard to photograph through the windows.
Some stuff is just plain weird.
A mechanical fortune teller:


They know that their strength lies in the whole oddball nostalgia and I'm glad that they haven't tried updating the place.

The restaurant doesn't only have great food...
