I've come to realize that I have to read another novel or narrative Langform with my older students who are notoriously lazy.
What I need now is a suggestion from you well-read folks.
I'm looking for something readable, not too long. General topic: media in some shape or form - a satire would be good.
So far I've come up with two Ben Elton books: Popcorn and Dead Famous. The first one might be a bit too difficult for them, the second one has got a shipping time of four to six weeks at amazon, which basically rules it out. Don't know whether any of the local bookstores might get hold of it sooner.
Any ideas? Or where I might look?
Edit I:
Just so I don't forget my own ideas, here they come:
D. B. C. Pierre, Vernon God Little
Also, I'm going slightly crazy with trying to come up with texts for my students' final exams.
Edit II:
I've decided to use Popcorn which is easy enough once you get past the first two chapters and I'll help them with that.
Edit III:
Found out I can recycle stuff I got from a colleague. Woohoo! Less work.
