At half past twelve last night there was a loud bang outside our window which turned out to be a car crash. After two hours and three police cars, an ambulance plus the medic's car, someone from the fire brigade cleaning up the street and three tow trucks it was all over. The driver seems to have been badly hurt when he crashed into two cars parked on the other side of the street. (I still don't understand how it all happened.) The owners of the damaged vehicles, both guys in their early forties with expensive German motors, smoked many cigarettes while watching the paramedics do their difficult job. We tried to sleep, but it was too much noise and too much light and too much excitement.

This has been the worst in a long line of incidents involving damage to cars from broken side-mirrors to ripped-off door handles to small and big dents.

I slept badly, with a dream in which the accident happened all over again.
We definitely want to have a garage for our new car.
I wonder about the driver and his injuries.
