Sometimes my job takes me to unexpected places. Today, I went to a blacksmith's workshop. There was heat, brute force, fire, but also precision. It was archaic and very sooty.



My student is thoroughly enjoying his work experience there and proudly showed me the knife that he is making using a modern-day version of Damascus steel.
