Today I met a former student in town with her one-year-old. She had her baby a couple of days after sitting her Maths [equivalent of GCSE] exam. We compared kids and talked about going back to school - she hasn't yet, but would like to. She's still looking for a daycare place for her child.

I taught her from Year 5 to Year 8. I saw her grow up from child to teenager.

Now we're both mothers.
