Ten things orange.

1. We are the proud owners of a 1950s cocktail chair with the original orange fabric intact. It's not only orange, but plaid. You can find a picture here.
2. The colour orange is mostly a summer colour for me, probably because of a pair of orange capri cargo pants that I own and that I wear a lot on holiday. They're the perfect clothes for exploring a new city or for walking along the beach.
3. Eating an orange. I used to be too lazy to peel them, and so never bought them, which is a shame because the ritual of 'unwrapping' the orange is part of the pleasure.
4. Orange marmalade. On toast. With salted butter. For breakfast. Oh, and it should be thick cut with lots of peel.
5. Even though I don't like marking, I love my newish fountain pen - it's a Lamy in a stylish aluminium finish with an orange cap.
6. Going for a walk with the baby is definitely a favourite activity and it is connected to orange because I've got an orange shoulder bag that I use for a change of clothes and nappies.
7. That bag is a promotional gift from arte-tv which is one of the best television channels around.
8. I love citrus fruit in general and and some varieties come in a nice orange colour. They make good juice, smell nice and I like cosmetics, especially shower gel, with citrussy ingredients.
9. Oranges not only clean my body, no, I'm also a fan of Frosch orange detergent that is handy for washing the floors or for cleaning all sorts of other surfaces.
10. And before this becomes a huge advertisement for all products orange, I better come up with something home-made: orange and poppyseed cake, which is extremely delicious.
