Before the big thaw.

Here, where there are no hills and where it's flat for miles, the snow has gone. The past week was a mix of thawing during the day and more snow overnight - and occasionally during the day.

On Monday, the flakes were big and fat.



On Sunday, I photographed a winter sunset - through the window of a car, both moving and stationary.





I'm hopeful that soon I won't have a window between my camera's lens and the world.
