So, Topher in his melt-down stage built himself a little pod-pad with all his geeky belongings. The scenes with him and Adele were so heart-breaking. He doesn't quite remember what he did? What if the reason for this is that he didn't do it, strictly speaking? There's been speculation that his play-mate in Haunted was essentially Sierra with a Topher personality imprint. What if someone used this imprint (maybe even with a little modification) to build this army he was talking about? Would that make him less culpable? It might still send him over the edge - seeing what he is capable of, not being able to stop someone else using his genius. Creepy thought - what if someone has an imprint of your original personality, puts it into someone else and manipulates the imprint into doing things you don't want - while you watch. Essentially that is what Alpha tried to do with Echo/Caroline in Omega, if I'm not mistaken.
On the other hand, this method is used to save our refuges in Epitaph One - without imprinting the little girl with the rebel version of Echo/Caroline they wouldn't be able to find Safehaven.
