A picture and talk about procedurals.
Jun. 15th, 2009 03:13 pmPhotobucket has been annoying me with an intrusive father's day flash advert that proved a little tricky to evade, but after a little fiddling I managed to upload a picture taken on a neighbourhood stroll a couple of weeks ago.

In other news there is no other news except for what's on television and in the local paper (web edition) which is mostly depressing and/or unreliable.
I re-watched A Spy in the House of Love while ironing and as this isn't conducive to deep thoughts I can only offer that in this episode the female dolls got to do the detecting and spying while the male doll might have looked the secret agent part (flash car, nice suit, fencing) but didn't progress past gigolo. Also, lots of interesting Doctor Saunders scenes, especially in hindsight.
We've also finished the first season of Castle - it's nice and fluffy, but I find myself slightly turned off by Castle himself. Fillion is great, but I'm not really attracted to that particular kind of guy and I'm not talking looks. Life gave me so much more - the cases of the week were better, beginning with the presentation of the bodies; there was a meaty arc and the characters were the right kind of quirky for me. I'm sad that it's not coming back. The Mentalist just cannot replace it.
