Today, before lunch, we went to the neighbourhood fleamarket where we browsed but didn't buy anything. It's a nice market, no new stuff, mostly non-professional vendors selling what they found in their attics and basements. Then we took a short detour through the park - including a trip across one of those playground log-and-chains bridges and walked back passing two restaurants we keep on saying we want to try soon, but you know how it is.

Before returning home, we witnessed some of the demolition of an old house on our neighbourhood's main street. The destruction efforts had brought quite a group of onlookers, who were glad that the site was cordoned off when a sizeable chunk of the gable came crushing down in huge clouds of dust.

On Friday's trip to IKEA we only bought items for the kitchen: glasses, a pepper-mill, a colander and some small and medium bowls for soup etc.

The boyfriend has been researching prams and strollers online and we bought our first issue of a parenting magazine - and it's like I expected, full of advertising and even some of the journalistic content is thinly-veiled incitement to buy more stuff.

The weather has been gorgeous - not too hot, sunshine, blue skies with some clouds.

I've got new books from the library waiting to be read.
