Give me something to do.
Mar. 22nd, 2009 04:10 pmWhen I go on a walk, I usually take pictures of what I see. It gets a little repetitive after a while for me and I find it difficult to produce photos that are interesting. You've all seen ducks and crocuses and so on and frankly, my photographic skills aren't big enough to make a duck look spectacular. Though I am a little sad that I don't have a proper telephoto lens or I would have shown you the duck that thought it was a squirrel. Honestly, yesterday there was this duck that flew up into a tree and sat around at a height of at least four or five metres. It didn't look too happy and seemed very unsure of how to reach the ground again. Do ducks do this kind of thing or was that a zoological anomaly?
Anyway. Where was I? Oh yes, I want audience participation, see the title of my post. Tell me what you want to see in my pictures of my walks around my neighbourhood. It could be the weirdest looking flower (I think I've already done that with the last picture here) or the wackiest found object (ditto). I'm a bit reluctant to take pictures of individual people, but buildings, places, plants, street signs etc. are all fair game.
So, surprise me.

Date: 2009-03-22 05:10 pm (UTC)Those are great suggestions. There are a couple of houses here with slightly dubious colour schemes and of course, there are the ex-squatters houses, but as they're a bit out of the way they shall not count.
Not being in suburbia there are not many gardens around. On the other hand, one of our walks sometimes takes us to mini-suburbia - haven't been there for a while, so that's a good idea (and there I might find strange looking additions to houses, too.)

Date: 2009-03-22 04:56 pm (UTC)Perhaps, just to change the perspective, you could take pictures of your walks by somehow showing the path instead of things on your path or on the sides, either ahead or behind you. It could be a road, a track, a lane.

Date: 2009-03-22 07:15 pm (UTC)I've got the twisted spire on some of my backup DVDs somewhere so you shall get that - I don't get into town that often to take a new picture, but the old one will do, too, I hope.
As to that vile stuff masquerading as a soft drink, I'll attempt a sneaky picture in the Trinkgut.
I'll look out for bad translations and other local oddities.
