You know what's weird?
Nov. 19th, 2008 07:53 pmThis is:
Lounging around on the bed, surrounded by books and the television on mute and then catching a glimpse of your boss on tv. I grabbed the remote, switched on the sound and listened to our head teacher talk about the greatness of my school. She had a bad hair day, sadly. I also got to see a corridor, one of our science rooms and several Year 9 pupils, of which they interviewed two.
I'm meant to be recuperating at home, but no, work intrudes in the form of a report on regional television. Context: National test results have again shown that the federal state I live in lags behind. The debate about our school system is heating up again...
I'm glad I'm missing Open Day on Saturday - even went so far as to asking my doctor specifically to include Saturday in my sick note - she went one better and extended my sick leave to Sunday.
Yes, I'll probably be back to school on Monday.

And yeah, I actually worked for school yesterday, because there were marks due and the kids don't have a substitute teacher, so I handed in the grades I had anyway. (The lack of a sub goes to show how important my subject is considered...)

I'm thinking of you, too. I've got my adventure mostly behind me, yours is still waiting for you!
I've got to get started on some schoolwork, too - there's some marking I need to do and yes, marks have to be handed in soon, too.
