she said with a sheepish grin.
They let me go home this morning.
Apparently, four to ten days means less than three. I'm not complaining though.
The drugs were nice, the food was so-so and I'm glad to be home.

They managed to keep the surgery as minimally invasive as possible - all I've got are three sticking plasters on my lower abdomen. As to what they managed to do - I've discussed that with the specialist but want to talk to my own doctor, before I talk about it.

Date: 2008-11-17 05:26 pm (UTC)Thanks - I do count on that!
Originally there was talk about being off school for two to three weeks, so when I go to my doctor on Wednesday I'll make sure that I get the rest of the week off as well, including the Saturday as that is Open Day at my school and I've got absolutely no desire to brave the crowds there.

I don't do much except lounge around in bed, reading and watching television and being pampered. I helped a little with the drying of the dishes and made some sandwiches for lunch, but apart from that I'm very lazy.

Weirdly enough, when I asked the two doctors who sent me home about heavy lifting they were very relaxed about it - apparently the incisions aren't that deep. They advised against cycling though. Err, at the moment I'm not too comfortable with standing or sitting up for longer than a meal or checking my friendslist, so no, I don't want to do any cycling right now.
