Light and grey.
Oct. 27th, 2008 07:25 pmToday, in the late afternoon, the light was fantastic - darkblue rain-soaked skies, glistening roads, colourful trees and a low-angled sun. Most of the day was sunny, with some shorts spells of rain.
Yesterday, on the other hand, the sun was battling with the clouds in the morning but by mid-afternoon it had lost and the skies were grey with a low cloud cover.
So, guess on which day I went for a walk and guess on which day I sat in conferences all afternoon?
If it hadn't been for the coloured leaves still on the trees yesterday's weather would have been absolutely depressing.
Walking around the tiny reservoir hidden between the trees in the valley was lovely. The air was fresh, there was the smell of pine-needles and wet leaves, and we even managed to stay dry.

The grass was a vibrant green and even though the colours of the trees were muted with some already bare, the grey sky didn't look too bleak.

Today has been another gorgeous day, but I didn't have the time to stop and take pictures. Maybe tomorrow...
