Good things.

I don't want to fall back into anxiety and feelings of general doom and gloom, so here are ten things that make me feel good today.
(Yes, it's bit like being alone in the woods at night and whistling to will away the fear. And I find it difficult to do this kind of self-help psych stuff without mocking it at the same time. But the mocking is half the fun and helps, too.)
1. Trainee teacher passed her exams today. For one I'm happy for her (she's a great teacher and human being) and I've also been told by her and others that my mentoring helped a lot.
2. My students did their very best in the exam lesson today - speaking English during group work, showing off their awesome presentation skills and so on. It was very clear that they wanted to make the lesson work - and they succeeded.
3. My appetite is back - being hungry but not enjoying food wasn't nice.
4. There will be some nice pasta for dinner tonight, cooked by the boyfriend.
5. He has also cleaned the bathroom and washed the stairs.
6. And he is awesome in general.
7. Right now, he's making a video for me to use in a lesson tomorrow.
8. One of my youngest pupils coming up to me and telling me that she missed me yesterday.
9. Sipping a nice cup of tea.
10. I'm also looking forward to watching some television later.
Mostly shallow things and all about me, but that was the point, right?

Date: 2008-10-22 07:15 pm (UTC)Aww, how sweet.
I got a hug on Monday when I was going home. The somewhat baffled mother told me her kid only talks about me at home, so I guess I don't do everything wrong. ;-)

One minute they're annoying as hell, the next instant they're the sweetest kids possible.
I had the annoying ones today, too, but that's part of the deal.
