Lost and found.
Aug. 15th, 2008 07:14 pmToday, while frantically looking for something totally different, I found my old watch that had disappeared in January and I discovered the giftwrapping ribbon that we'd been looking for a couple of days ago.
In a roundabout way it was a good thing that I mislaid the business and various other cards that I took out of my wallet last month. They turned up, too.
And it didn't even take a prayer to St. Anthony.
Locations of found items:
Watch: In my desk drawer in the original box for my mobile phone in a ziplock bag with the instructions for the phone.
Ribbon: In two small plastic bags crushed between books etc. in a tray on my desk.
Business and other cards: Inside a zip-up compartment in my toiletries bag.
Where did I look for these items originally?
I thought the ribbon was somewhere on my desk, but I didn't look inside the trays.
I was sure I had put the cards somewhere on my desk.
I assumed the watch was in my toiletries bag.
Funnily enough, I now know how these things ended up where they were found.
