Going to the same place three times in a row? A couple of years ago this was the epitome of Spießigkeit for me, boring, unimaginative and narrow-minded.
Well, this year we again returned to Lagos in Portugal, but my excuse is that it is a great place and we still hadn't seen everything.
For instance, we hadn't been inside the municipal market, an unremarkable building from 1924.
It is not much different from any other market in a coastal town in Portugal - on ground level there is a lot of fish on sale:

The first floor has shops with other local products:

Connecting the two is a modern interpretation of Portuguese azulejos:

On the roof there is a bar with a view of the marina and access to a small science museum where we spent an afternoon with the kid.

From the museum's roof garden you get an even better view of the marina and this family had a rest in the shade of the trees.
And a bonus picture of the public art on display at the entrance of the main post office:
