December depression.

It's been another grey and rainy day and I just don't feel the Christmas spirit. I'm worrying about things that I can't control.

To lift my moood a little I shall go for the ten things that make me slightly happy meme nicked from frenchani:

1. I was creative today and finished something and lo, it doesn't look half-bad.

2. Yummy Christmas cookies baked by one of my pupils. They've got a really poetic name, too: Angels' Eyes.

3. Our newish printer's photo-printing abilities, which we tested just now.

4. The big fat dark-red candle I got in the Secret Santa exchange in my form.

5. Tea.

6. I've been watching lots of relaxing television and can now report that Life is better than The Mentalist and that Leverage is a less realistic Hustle variation with added thieves, but entertaining nonetheless.

7. I've still got the finale of The Shield to watch.

8. I've still got some books left from my to-be-read-in-hospital pile.

9. The shiny new Christmas present kitchen radio that's already in use.

10. I seem to have evaded the various stomach bugs going around in school. *knock on wood*
