Slight case of self-pity.
Nov. 13th, 2007 08:10 pmI don't like colds. You stay the most part of two days and nights in bed which would be fun if you had the necessary amount of braincells available to read a good book or watch some nice television. But the braincells are occupied with something else, probably admiring all the snot that is blocking your nose. So, you just drool a little (it happens because you have to breathe through your mouth) and fall asleep while watching informercials. Then you wake up with an even sorer throat and go through yet another pack of tissues.
On the other hand, you know you'll feel better soon and there are benefits, too. You get tea brought to your bedside and home-made soup cooked for you and you can't smell the neighbours' cooking or any other nasty smells. I miss the kisses though.
