sister_luckOne doesn't usually get to see where police horses are trained and kept, but thanks to the re-structuring of the police force the stables in our city were closed down and now the former riding arena is a showroom for garden furniture.
It's an unassuming red brick building from the outside, which doesn't prepare you at all for the inside and its huge roof constructed with reinforced concrete girders.
Because of an open door I was able to catch a glimpse of part of the stables with a reminder on the wall to treat the animals well:
