Hospital appointment over and done with.

There was lots of waiting and being sent from A to B, but I know more now and can return to my usual schedule for the next three weeks.

Operation is scheduled for Nov 13.

Nov 13 isn't too bad; you should be back in good shape by Christmas.

I'm kind of glad that it's not happening right now. It makes sense to postpone the surgery because of my cycle. It'll mean slightly more hassle at school as my Year 13 students have got an exam scheduled somewhere around the 18 and there isn't much time between that and having to hand in the marks, but we'll find some way of dealing with that.

It looks like they won't keep me in the hospital for that long - either four or seven days depending on how invasive the operation gets - which they will decide on the job, so to speak.
