Buffy stuff

Under the cut you'll find a picture I took of a comic book shop window in Canterbury.

Can anyone explain to me the appeal of these collectors' items? They're fun in a way, but I wouldn't spend money on them. Am I a bad fan?

They're not my cup of tea either. However, I've seen some very amusing pictures posted on peoples LJ's of Spike and other dolls in very 'unusual' poses.

TeenLinnit has a collection of Beanie Babies, all dogs. Scores of them, all in a dog basket in her bedroom. She knows them all by name and many of them get outings in her handbag every so often - it's the animal lovers equivalent of the Paris Hilton / Brittney Spears toy dog accessorising thing. Maybe the BtVS dolls are the fantasy-verse fans equivalent?

If they bring out Beanie Spike, I'll buy one... and I'll accessorise it myself... I've darned enough socks!
