Marking break

I've managed to get through one of my five marking assignments for this month. (There were two others, but I guess they count for April.)

This one was another second look at someone else's marks, this time for a colleague at my school and for our GCSE equivalent. It's a standardized test that has been introduced this year and it was fairly easy. There are a couple of marks we're not agreeing on and I'm not really looking forward to discussing this with my colleague. There is one exam paper that gets an A from her and a C from me. Ooops. If we can't decide on a mark it'll have to go to a third person. Let's hope it doesn't come to that. Oh, and the marks have to be handed in on Tuesday...

As a reward, we're going to watch the Eurovision Song Contest and mock it according to tradition. The boyfriend has just made me a Gin and Tonic. Sadly, this year we'll be without Wogan as BBC Prime isn't showing the Grand Prix this year.

Tomorrow I hope to finish the next two piles of exams, so that I can go on a little adventure on Wednesday without a bad conscience.

I'm enjoying the rainy and stormy weather we're having this week, because after nearly forty days of blue skies and sun that's what I need. It's not the grey, dull rain without respite, but rather short spells of rain with great light in between. Makes everything look fresh, sparkling and green.
